fk_paxFour AWCF-FK exchange program participants as well as three Project Managers representing Cambodia, Vietnam, and Thailand participated in the “4th FK Sub-Regional Network Meeting” held last November 29-30, 2008 at Lane Xang Hotel, Vientiane, Lao PDR. This sub-regional meeting was intended for FK partners who are based in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand, and Vietnam. This meeting convened FK partners as well as alumni and current exchange program participants representing 25 organizations to strengthen country network activities specific for this sub-region. Moreover, this meeting also paved the way for AWCF members to be oriented on the sub-region’s activities and be introduced as a new member of the network as its participation in the FK program commenced only in year 2008.  AWCF’s partnership with Fredskorpset Norway or FK-Norway is part of the Project "Capacity-Building for Gender and Co-operatives in Asia" implemented under the latter's Asia South-South Exchange Program. The meeting enabled the participants to:
  1. be updated and acquainted with one another,
  2. review and discus the planned activities and challenges of the country network in 2008, and
  3. plan future activities of country network in 2009. 

AWCF is represented in this meeting by Mr. Russell Tabisula, Ms Annalyn Salvaleon, and Ms Lem Rachana, current exchange program participants assigned at Credit Union League of Thailand, Ltd. (CULT); Ms Kruewan Chonlanai, FK Project Manager for CULT; Ms Francisca Pilayan, current exchange program participant assigned at Center for Agricultural Extension Volunteers (CAEV); Dr. Bui Quang Toan, CAEV Director; and Mr. Sil Vineth, President of Socio-Economic Development Organization of Cambodia (SEDOC) and concurrently the FK Project Manager for SEDOC.
